For some reason, I thought the Yoke steering wasn't coming to the US on the Bz4x, but to your question, the steer by wire would be tied to that option, which AFAIK, isn't something on the radar for the Solterra.

From information which got to me I am probably in minority, but I am really excited about Toyota Yoke and would like to test it and check if it is "done properly" as sounded from promo materials (mainly videos) or broken as Tesla attempt.
My reasons to try it:
1) I was on safe driving course and at some exercises we need to really fast turning left and right and handing over steering wheel was "slow". If Yoke will have small turning radius (about 170 ° to both sides from neutral position) and not needing to lift hand from steering wheel I will be happy
2) The top part of steering wheel doesn't allow me to set seat perfectly, because it starts to block my vision of dashboard (speed and RPM)
If it will be good I think I will be considering this option if possible. But I expect long time before Solterra will be available near me (so a lot of review will be available already) and I am afraid that it will cost much more than in different countries as probably all cars. The lowest bz4x (some kind of two wheel drive) has price on official page almost 57 000 $...

Welcome @Marek Barinka! I'm curious to try the yoke because I'm not sure if I'm going to like the feel of it. Plus I don't know how much it would benefit my driving compared to a regular steering wheel.

Would the Solterra or bZ4X be your first EV?

It would be me first EV but I still wait for Czech Republic prices and test data in our area (Central Europe). We are still in terrible state regarding charging stations so maybe I will take Subaru e-boxer and wait for "next generation" Solterra and better charging station coverage. Sometimes with friends we are doing trips to "wilderness" and current EVs could be sometime limiting.
Also I am planning car change (2008 Impreza) sometime around summer 2024 and currently just gathering info in free time to have some overview.
