I really want to see what the wheels on the Premium trim look like
(18-inch aluminum alloy wheels with covers are standard on Premium).

Maybe someone from a country where these are being delivered (or test driven) can pop a cover off and take a picture.

I don't follow Toyota vehicles (except in traffic sometimes), but I did have a Prius for about 10 years and I think this was the first time they put fairly nice looking alloy wheels under cheap looking wheel covers. Here's an example of the wheels under 2 different model years of Prius -- so the Premium Solterra has something similar under the wheel covers.

I suspect they look something like this image from the Japanese build sheet with snow chain accessory option (not shown as an option on bZ4X build so far).

Now that is a proper blacked-out wheel if you like that look.

Good catch. Looks like they went the Tesla aero cover route on the 18” wheels. I wish the 20” wheels were all black. Or at least more like the bZ4X version which is machined still the same way, but they are black on the painted portion rather than gun metal like the Subaru.

That’s the key where you wind it up.

J/K. That’s the towing eye hook. It gets a cover when not in use. There’s one on the front too.

I think that’s just the standard tow ring that screws in the front and rear corners. One of the first things I noticed was that they finally added 2 in the front so kayaks could be properly secured.

Does this uneven gap on the bZ4X bother anyone else? That's the very first thing my eye goes to every time I see a photo of the bZ4X. I haven't seen it on the Solterra, so I won't have to cancel my order. Sorry, @R P !

Oh wow, that is very, very bad indeed!! Probably the tip of the iceberg, of just how bad it really is. And yes, Solterra is built in the same factory. Obviously very serious quality control issues as they are trying to rush out this first batch of new cars. Looks like they couldn't even find one to show that didn't have any defects. This is probably the best one they had, hoping no one would notice it.

After taking a close look at this in a number of photos and videos, I really believe it’s just an odd stylistic choice that Toyota made for the bz4X instead of a QC problem as it seems to be very consistent. In comparison, Subaru fortunately decided against that styling. Whew!

Most early reviewers commented more about the huge gap the Solterra has because Subaru doesn't use those body color headlamp covers.

Sorry, I should probably say something about the wheels/covers now!

I don't have a Premium ordered, but those black wheels look pretty sweet! Is there any reason you can't run them without the covers? I'm already considering finding a Premium buyer that would trade their 18" wheels/tires for the 20" wheels/tires that come on my Smoked Carbon Limited for slightly better range and more distance between the wheel and the edge of potholes.
