I didn't catch the ships name yesterday, BUT there's a whole new fleet of Solterra's in the yard this am, next ship I'll get for youzz guiezz
Every time I visit San Francisco I pass through Richmond and see the thousands of cars sitting at the port. The last time I passed by Richmond was on Feb 5th. I joked with my wife that maybe my Solterra was there. I picked up my Solterra 6 days later so it was a very good chance it was.Cars bound for Texas go through Richmond CA. Only cars bound for east coast states go through Panama.
Looks like this ship made several port calls this month. So hopefully more roll out soon at the west coast. My Solterra came to Canada on a ship named the Clover Ace.
So they can keep other Subarus company? So I have a question -- these are undeniably photos of Solterras awaiting loading on a RORO vehicle carrier. But in Yokosuka, Japan, presumably adjacent to the US Navy facility there.
The Motomachi plant, where the cars are being manufactured, is outside Nagoya, ~100 miles a way, and is a significant port in its own right. Why transport the vehicles that far to load them on a ship for the US?
Did you want me to snatch you one out of the lot and mail it to you....I was thinking of the order, but looking back, you're right, it was April. I was able to make my reservation 12 minutes after the system opened. Obviously, I conflated the date of one event with the month of the other.
Still, 367 days, or 327 days, at thet point, it doesn't make much difference.
No, the ship will probably go from there to Richmond, CA, and then to somewhere in So Cal.Says the Green Lake is headed for US Van Vancouver. It looks like this port is Portland, Oregon. I guess I'll have to wait for the next ship. At least the folks in the Pacific Northwest will be getting some more Solterras!
Sweet. Maybe mine is on this ship? Yet, SOA has not sent me a VIN.No, the ship will probably go from there to Richmond, CA, and then to somewhere in So Cal.
My Solterra (IL) came through Vancouver WA, as did cars going as far east as Ohio.
My VIN didn't materialize until about 6 days after the car was unloaded in Vancouver, just before it was ready to be loaded on the train.Sweet. Maybe mine is on this ship? Yet, SOA has not sent me a VIN.
