Summer Driving Climate Control Settings

What climate control setting is working best balancing comfort and mileage in the warm weather that "calls" for AC? In the cold, earlier this year, the recommendation seemed to be ECCO Mode and Auto Climate with an appropriate temp setting. What settings are you using, where?

ECO and just set the desired temp. The car will do the rest, and in the most economical way.

I use Eco and 72. On an 80 degree afternoon today, the OBD2 reader showed AC draw starting high, bouncing around 1.5 to 2kW when the car was hot, then settled down to 0.5 and below for the rest of the drive.
jmwk -- very informative data. Thanks!
