With AWD, that spare diameter is going to need to be "identical" in diameter to whatever tires are on the four corners. Subaru is historically very tight on this specification and I doubt that will change with the Solterra.

I'm guessing that the dual-motor design decouples the axles - mechanically. Then, each axle would keep updating its motor's control unit with an actual RPM?
No clue,,,my reference is, for the moment "more general" about AWD systems and Subaru. Until actual details for Solterra round spare and tire size are available, it's best to stick to the conservative habits for the brand.
