Solterras spied in the wild....

Well, not truly free yet. Spied at my local dealership
(Irvine Subaru)

But..... Definitely use this thread to show Solterras spotted while driving around.

Since we are not anywhere close to world domination or even the Tri-State area for that matter.

This could be a good place to inquire.....

YOHB?

Has anyone else seen any other Solterras "in the wild" (i.e. not sitting on a dealership lot)?

I saw my first one this past Sunday, plugged into a public L2 charger at one of our grocery stores. I was actually quite surprised to see one so soon, but it could be months until I see my next one.

No pictures? What color?
Sorry, no pictures! I was driving, caught it out of the corner of my eye. It was Smoked Carbon two-tone.

I have chatted with another Solterra owner on PlugShare, regarding a public L3 location I would use if it hadn't fallen into disrepair (Wally's in Pontiac, IL). And I've noticed a few other semi-local Solterra logins on PS.

Not a Solterra, but I did see a white BZ4X drive down my street. It was almost like seeing a unicorn.

I know I won't be seeing any bZ4Xs around here anytime soon. The closest state they're being sold in is > 800 miles away.
My wife is a teacher and practically the whole staff has stopped by her classroom or office and asked, “Is that your car in the parking garage?” Or something like, “Where did you get that, we’ve been wanting one of those!”

So while it’s not me spotting a Solterra while driving, it is a nature show about the elusive vehicle getting some pretty high ratings.

Saw back in February a mate to my red touring, but it was an BZ4X parked next to me at a L3 charger .
I tend to drive a little more politely around home. ;)

My local Toyota Dealer (Wilde in Milwaukee, WI area) has one listed on their web page. When I was working with the sales manager to get a RAV4 Prime (18 months and still waiting!) he told me that they would get one bZ4X and one GR Corolla this model year.

I stand corrected, not 800 miles! I didn't realize they were being sold outside of the ZEV states.
I think in small quantities, like each dealer gets at least one if they commit to training, etc. Some get a lot more. My sales associate has sold 4 of the 5 at his dealership, one to a neighbor who liked mine.

Availability is both all over the place and nowhere, all at once.
