I was told by my dealer here in California that I would receive an email from Subaru with the VIN number when Subaru starts my factory build. They also told me that factory said my Solterra would arrive sometime late July. I received my factory order confirmation via email on April 28. Has anyone received their VIN number yet?
I will post when I receive mine!

As of 5/5, I only have the VON - dealer had entered order incorrectly (wrong interior) and had to escalate to regional manager to correct order already in queue. Waiting for a buildsheet to confirm second try was for right order. Should know Monday or Tuesday. Surprised you are at late-July. SOA indicated November to me.

I am not counting on late July. However being on the west coast I could see us getting our cars sooner that east coast or middle US. I also read awhile back that California was going to get a larger allocation than most states.

Right - I think the ZEV (smog laden?) states get delivered first. I'm on the East coast, so I'll be waiting patiently.

That would be sweet (if that's how we find out, and it's timely).

May 25 2022 is last day to place your factory order if you had a reservation. I an hoping we start getting updates as to when we get our build dates from factory. Our dealer still says they will email VIN when factory starts build.

I ordered mine in late April - no market up from MSRP at the Sierra Subaru dealership in CA. The guy told me they expected them in late May. I'm thinking that was a little over optimistic! Going to hang onto my Crosstrek for now.

Since I missed the February pre-order, I asked SOA when ordering would open (US orders).

Here's their response on the 27th of May, 2022:

Thank you for contacting Subaru of America. While our department does not know when the ordering process will begin for customers who did not have a Solterra reservation, our Sales departments at our local retailers will be able to assist you with trim information, pricing information, and the earliest date you can submit your order. Thank you for contacting Subaru of America.

Out of curiosity has anyone experienced their dealer selling Solterra above MSRP? My Subaru dealer in Chico Ca. sold us our Solterra at MSRP.
We are going through Chico, though we live in WA state, everything closer was gone. No Markup, they originally wanted $2000 refundable deposit to order, but then backed off when I said I might cancel...Red Touring. We were number 2 on their list.

We ordered Harbor Mist Touring. Our salesperson informed me they are getting 10 Solterras. They are also getting a
demo Solterra sometime in July. Still no information regarding build dates. Looking forward to test driving the Demo!

When we eventually get our Solterras we would like to hear how your drive back home goes with charging etc. That will be a good test for your nervous system!!
Not too worried because Electrify America covers I-5 well and I know how to check charger status so I can plan accordingly. 20-80% is like an hour, that's slow but I can deal. Will be necessary anyway if the toddler is making the trip too.
