Your car could connect to that WiFi signal if it's powered up. I'm not sure if want my car connected to WiFi while it's supposedly powered off.

I know that and it does connect when it’s in but while I’m at in the garage it still does not update the app or even recognize profiles. It’s a major problem with this app and technology from Toyota. My dealer opened a ticket on my behalf
