Watch the videos from Arizona and you'll quickly determine it is silver and nowhere near the dark shading that Subaru provided during the reservation process (or that the name implies), it is definitely "silver".I wonder how dark that grey is. I picked it but some pictures seem more like a lighter grey which I don’t like. So I might switch to harbor mist. Anybody have better pictures of this color?
I saw it at the Milwaukee show. I wouldn't call it silver. Not dark gray, either. Maybe it depends on the angle and type of lighting. I really liked it!Watch the videos from Arizona and you'll quickly determine it is silver and nowhere near the dark shading that Subaru provided during the reservation process (or that the name implies), it is definitely "silver".
For what it's worth, MY opinion is that it looks better with the two-tone, but with the Smoked Carbon it's less of a difference between the two-tone and the "one-tone". See the picture above from Milwaukee. On the Touring model, I know there is a two-tone option (black roof). I assume you could get a Touring in Smoked Carbon single-tone also, right? Which do you think looks better?
I think I'm going to switch to the two-tone Smoked Carbon now that I've seen more pictures!!!For what it's worth, MY opinion is that it looks better with the two-tone, but with the Smoked Carbon it's less of a difference between the two-tone and the "one-tone". See the picture above from Milwaukee.
Which do you prefer?
I ended up ordering smoked carbon (non-two tone) Premium trim. This car is going to be our second car not going to be driven on a long trip (no change station). I wanted a white two-tone, but not going to pay extra for color. Smoke carbon first choice, black second choice...

Deciding today between the Smoked Carbon and Cosmic Pearl White. I love the looks of both. Personally I like how the pearl white contrasts with the black cladding accents---giving it a unique two-toned black and white look. Very contemporary! Some of the reviews say the darker colors look better with the black cladding, but it is a matter of personal taste. Solterra has that rugged SUV vibe and the black cladding works for me. I think the smoked carbon is a safer bet and less edgy, but I am leaning towards the pear whitel. Living in the mountains....all the plusses of the Solterra (AWD, X Mode, Eyesight, etc.) cancel out the range and charging speed comparisons. Grateful to be ordering this new electric car and willing to be an early adopter. It is a Subaru after all.
