Wanted to start a thread for everyone who has contacted Subaru today to finalize orders. Color? Trim? ADM? ETA? Any other interesting notes?

received a call today from my Subaru dealer Serramonte Subaru in California.

Finalized my color as harbormist, Limited trim, and pricing is supposed to be MSRP, he said they are not charging ADM on these pre-orders. He made a comment that said something like they were getting 40 cars only, but he had 120 people signed up on his reservation list. I wonder if some of these are dealer reservations and not all confirmed….

Got my Subaru confirmation email today. Now this is starting to feel real!

I called my dealer with reservation number and sales rep seemed confused as to what I wanted to do. He offered me a place on the waiting list and I corrected him that I was ready to purchase and place the order.

Ordered my Touring trim Solterra today. MSRP (No ADM). August estimated delivery. Casey Subaru in Newport News, VA. Really good and simple experience. I guess all the stuff about discounts for the home charger or EVgo, and Solterra Connect subscriptions will come later.

That was quick ordering yours! I’m waiting a week or so to order mine…. I’m leaning on a red Limited….it makes the car look like it could be a cross between a sports car and a WRX!!! Why touring and that harbor wash color??

No markup was surprise one but my other surprise was no dealer fees at the Subaru dealership I chose. Normally those are around $899 here in FL. A Hyundai dealer sent me a list of fees in my area. All brands have fees like this

I’m going to my nearest dealer next month to finalize my order! I’m curious though, when you went in to see your dealer, did they show you a Solterra on their computer and you were able to see an exterior color palette, interior seating colors, and adding accessories go on your vehicle? I find it very strange on the Subaru.com site the Solterra page will not allow you click colors, etc.

No, It was all over the phone. I highly doubt that the dealership has any more information than what they have on their website on Solterra.

The dealer from DHC Riverside, CA called me yesterday to confirm and complete the order. Less than 10 minutes, painless. I asked about ADM and he said Subaru wouldn't allow it. No accessory added, total came out to be about 47K. Delivery won't be until August 2022. I received an email from Subaru of America confirming my order a day later. No purchase order sent or forms to sign at this time.

I ordered the cheapest one available. It was the premium without any other options. I figure I can always add it on later.

I signed an order sheet. No ADM, and no deposit necessary.

I ordered my Limited in Harbor mist. Added all weather mats and cargo net. Dealer required an additional $500 deposit which I lose if I cancel or refuse to take delivery but it does apply to the purchase price.
I was also told August delivery. I received order confirmation from Subaru the next day also.

I ordered my Limited in Galaxy Black on May 3rd. (originally had Smoked Carbon on my reservation, but changed it when the dealer called). I had to put down another $1k (refundable and it applies to the purchase price) deposit. I was told August delivery. Dealer is adding $2,995 markup in the estimated price, claims that "that is the markup on all Subaru's at the moment". Dealer is Eastside Subaru in Kirkland, WA. I received a confirmation email from Subaru that the order was confirmed.

A couple people at Chaplin's told me long ago how shady Eastside Subaru was and all the bait-and-switch stuff they pull. Doesn't surprise me a bit that they would inflate all their prices across the board like that. What matters is what the paperwork says, so hopefully they will come around by the time it gets in.

order placed on 28-apr. delivery date set: October. The salesman that I worked with is headed to Austin in July for Solterra's debut. In Texas, I guess. (I wonder if Elon will be attending.)
