Subaru regroups as unfilled orders soar

U.S. inventory has dipped to a super-tight five-day supply, and the all-wheel-drive niche brand is adding about 10,000 vehicles a month to a backlog of orders.

This seems to be consistent with many other brands as well. While we are talking apples and oranges, some Tesla models are backlogged nearly 12 months. Many of the VW ID4 AWD models are at least a 6 month wait.

Its worth noting the Solterra isn't being produced by Subaru but by Toyota along side the BZ4x and Toyota just announced their global production would be 800,000 units in Jan 22 which would be a record. I'm guessing this is mostly marketing hype.

Wonder why the Subaru will be released first? I'm still in for a Solterra, just wonder why Toyota would be so esoteric.
