Getting my Limited in an hour. Total NOOB to EV, and all I can do is level 1 for now. I’m not handy at all.

I park my car outside and need to run a 100’ extension cord from my detached garage (storage) to the charging cable provided.

Is it safe? The getting started manual says something about a GFCI is recommended. I only see those in bathrooms. I’m confused.

Welcome to the forums. The short answer to your extension cord question is "no". Best to talk to your dealer directly. Here's an excerpt from the Solterra quick guide

Obviously, you needed to ask if it was FULLY charged up…

How long was your drive home (or, how long did you have to wait at the dealership for them to remedy that)?
