Issues with Flo 6.2 kW charging stations

I doubt anyone can replicate what‘s going on with a proprietary charger by doing something with settings in your garage. Seems the charger has an issue regulating itself and just gives up rather than throttling the current in the connection to the car.
Wouldn’t this also happen on any EV that can take a 40+ Amp charge, since it’s happening when the Solterra is attempting a 32 Amp rate? Lots of EVs suck much more power charging…are they failing as well?

It seems to me that, from what I’ve read here, either there’s an EVSE issue with the 6.2 kW units or some handshaking issue unique to the Solterra connection with those specific EVSEs (now, where that issue may lie can’t be determined from the available information, IMO).

At 6.6kW max, the Solterra is at the lower end of Level 2 charging speed capacity for recent EVs. Mach-e is 11kW. Bolt is 11 kW. ID.4 is 11 kW. Many others are at least 7.68 kW (32A at 240V). I think that if the charging station was having trouble with vehicles that allow over 6.2kW, what you're experiencing would be a very common occurrence. Not all EVs can limit 240V charging speed, either. My Bolt can't.

I've got to believe it's either your vehicle or something about the Solterra in general that is causing this issue. I remember reading about at least one charging network that had issues with the Solterra in the past. I don't know how or if that was fixed. It would be nice if there was a similar charging station near enough to your dealer that they could test it with a different Solterra.
That was also my take on the situation. If other, faster charging EVs aren’t having the same issues, then it’s a Subaru/Toyota issue… or at a minimum, a handshaking-communication issue between the EVSE and the vehicle. And, if it’s the last item, good luck on getting that fixed, because each side is going to point the finger at the other side to place blame.
