Maybe it knows you live on a really big mountain and only travel downhill.
[in old timey voice] When I was a kid and EV's were new we had to drive downhill in both directions
Same thing here. Charged to 100 today for a road trip this weekend. The app says 290 miles range.
Wednesday I charged to 100 percent, then drove 165 miles. The GOM said I still had 120 miles left. And my OBBII said I had 45 percent charge. Most of my driving was 50 mph or less and I was not running heater or ac, but I was still impressed.
This 222 miles for the touring is a lot of BS. What will this group find out what the true mileage is.

My guess is the 50 mph is the clue. Even on an ICE every 5 mph over some optimal speed buggers the range considerably. At 50 mph (81 kph) you will be in a sweet spot. Unless driving all the way on a motorway / expressway 10 or even 20 mph is not going to extend your ETA all that much
