For CY2022 I printed out a list of the most effiicent All Wheel Drive vehicles that get 29 mpg or better (no manual transmission versions). The vehicles are ranked by MSRP of least expensive version.

A 2022 PRIUS AWD has an MSRP of $27,135 while a 2022 Subaru Impreza has an MSRP of $18,795 + $500 for a 5 door + $1300 for CVT= $20,595 (24% less than PRIUS AWD).

The Impreza is the most fuel efficient non-hybrid vehicle for sale, and the rest of the naturally aspirated Subarus with CVT are fairly close .

I really think it is a big mistake to turbocharge these engines and add Toyota Hybrid technology. The price is probably going to go up by at least 20%.
