Hola,

I had a reservation, then placed an order back on May 18th. As of today I have not received any notification from Subaru or anything, though my dealer says the order was entered. Are others waiting for a confirmation email from Subaru or is something else "happening" with my order?

You should've gotten a confirmation email from SoA the next day. I'd check on it.

My dealer sent a pic of the order sheet since he had to enter it after I left, and then the automated email came a day or so later. Someone on this site said their dealer forgot to enter their contact email, explaining why they didn't get an update > so might as well check on that if you're calling on order status.

It depends. If you are in New England and possibly NY/NJ and Hawaii, those areas use a regional system rather than the Subaru of America's system. I am in New England and did not get a confirmation email. The dealer showed me their system for ordering is not done via SOA, it is done via Subaru of New England.

I checked in with my sales associate today, asked him if my delivery date was still "August". He replied "I checked yesterday and still said June! They better hurry.. looking for a Vin#".

I responded "June?????" so he sent me a screenshot from the "order unit bank"....

It turns out he had confused me with another of his customers waiting on a Forester!

[hopes dashed]

He did say they're expecting their demo car to arrive in "July". We'll see how much in advance of my "August" it actually arrives (they still no VIN listed on their demo car, or on the other guy's "June" Forester for that matter).

From my sales associate: "Your Solterra is scheduled to arrive sometime in the month of August! And we should be receiving the demo Solterra in the month of July. I will keep you posted so you can come in and take a look at it in July! "

You should receive a confirmation from Subaru after the dealer enter the order...

I placed my order on May 14th. Dealer sent me Sold Order Certification. I did not get confirmation email from Subaru of America. I am in NJ.

dealer told me : “we are not associated with Subaru of America, dealership in the north east are associated with Subaru Distributors”

That is correct. There are two distributors in the NE that are "in the middle" and dealers that have to do business through them can only get communications through them. Pricing sometimes varies because of that, too.

I got a call from my dealer today with some "great news" instead of my original estimated delivery of September, they are expecting delivery in August. Her words were "I think they are starting to get a giddyup on getting things moving at the factory over there" lol. In reality, I expect it's because there were alot of reservations that didn't turn into orders after the slow charging came to light. I placed my order on April 30th and I'm in Minnesota.

We'll know for sure if August order holders start hearing about July deliveries. As for soft demand from the first round of reservations, it sounds like a combo of the results of Subaru's measure to prevent ADM by not allowing wait list orders for a month, as well as a large percentage of reservation holders having multiple reservations with multiple brands, hoping for amazing specs but not truly understanding the "Subaru Way" of adequate power and efficiency in their ICE vehicles and/or thinking it would somehow be different with their EV. Crosstrek PHEV anyone?

That behind said, I'm hoping my August order gets the giddyup treatment too!

Ummh, errhh the sales team at my local dealer gave me an update this a.m. But, it is an estimate, and that's at the port. In the end I will believe it when I see, test drive it. 😉✌🏿
