I don’t know if this qualifies as this category, but this YouTube video shows off the Elemental Red.

Nice to see some interior pics of the Base (Premium) model. Most reviews have been featuring the Limited trim.

Hey amigo… I’m thinking of going red too! But I want mine with the black top and panoramic roof which I think would compliment the entire black trims around the Solterra. Wish I could see it in person to see if the red is too bright in the daytime!

I'm totally confused and have not yet been able to talk with my dealer who holds my reservation. But, can I get any color with Touring? I guess more specifically, can I get the Touring in red? Also, what are the seat colors for each exterior color?

The original reservation and the pricing announcement have the table of colors and 2-tone top option. When I put my order in, the Elemental Red Touring was ONLY available with a 2-tone (black) roof.

After talking with the dealer this morning, a lot of things came into focus. All Touring models will have two-tone, except for black (duh). I believe it is because of the large glass roof. All colors are available with any trim level, but two-tone is only for the Touring. Thankfully, there are black and gray seat color choices for each Touring exterior color.

Careful with the gray seats, they are outlined in a light blue that, personally, I don't think goes with anything. I would think they were designed specifically for the Harbor Mist and now are the only option other than black (despite Japan getting brown seating). It really annoys me how Subaru makes color combination decisions for their customers.

When you say all Touring will have two-tone, you mean as an option or by default?

It's an option, but some dealerships may be treating it as a "mandatory option"...

I do not claim to be an expert, nor am I a Subaru dealer, but the dealer info I reviewed with the dealer showed Touring only available in two-tone (except black which of course, has a black roof). Plus, you can only have two-tone in Touring trim. I highly suspect that is due to the panoramic glass roof standard and only available on Touring.

Subaru's pricing document Subaru U.S. Media Center - SUBARU ANNOUNCES PRICING ON ALL-NEW SOLTERRA ELECTRIC SUV lists the paint colors/prices as follows. It does state "Available paint options depend on trim level" but it does list a price for paint PLUS two-tone, implying that it is optional. If not optional and available only on the Touring, then it would be included in the base MSRP for the Touring trim.... YOU WOULD THINK.
