I normally get XPEL or 3M clear door sill protector strips to protect the paint from my wife’s shoes and kids getting in and out of the back. But I found these on Amazon for like $20 Canadian for the set of 4 so I decided to give them a try. Look pretty decent. They are thicker so they shouldn’t scratch though like a thin vinyl sticker.

I am considering getting another set of the plain ones to put there as well. Only $20 for the set of 4, not bad.

I looked at it like this, the plastic parts can get replaced very easily, the painted part cannot. More work to make the painted area look new.

If you look at my picture above, I decided to move the cover forward to where the diagonal scuff mark is. Just below the 3 drop sized mud bits. I obviously touched that with my booted foot, so moving the cover a bit seems like a good idea. ;)
