Crossbar (roof rack) options?

Not seeing any information on crossbar or roof rack options for the Solterra. Has anybody spotted or know of what style crossbars will work with this rail system?

As far as prices go for accessories, after-market sources are considerably less expensive.
The roof-top basket (Thule Canyon XL) is available for $772 from Subaru and $600 from a well-known retailer (online and brick and mortar store)

I am curious about this. Do these bolt into the hole under the little access cover on the stock "rails"? It looks like they do...

Subaru of America has 2 part numbers for cross bars (one is Thule which I suspect is what you have there, one is Subaru) but they seem to be unavailable at this time. Both of those parts are found here:

Part numbers are: Thule SOA567X080
Subaru PS767TB400

For Thule's website direct for the Solterra, the setup they are showing doesn't look right. It looks like it's a mount that goes to the inside of the door frame. It's like $650 USD which is $300 more than I'd expect for just basically a set of cross bars. Mounts should go directly into the Solterra "system" I think.

I'm hoping to get some cross bars for mine asap. Need to get my ski rack on!!!

Yes, Thule has a 'kit' that is specific to the Solterra that fits into the access holes on the vehicles with the stock rails. This kit forms the base to which the rest of the rack mounts onto.
That kit is not due to be available until sometime in January (for Canada anyway), according to a local source.
The Thule crossbars are plentiful and interchangeable.

Thanks! Sounds good - I can wait that long!

Has anyone heard an update on the ETA for the Thule crossbar fit kit?
I've been looking for the part numbers almost daily, not finding anything so far. Someone noticed, theres a couple options on eBay but they are in turkey or china. They don't look quite right to me but maybe they are fine. They look more like they try to pinch the roof rails... rather than bolt into the very sturdy looking threaded hole that is under the little plastic cover under the roof rail.
But I could be wrong. But feels to me like that bolt hole should be the mount point......

The picture can’t be accurate, because there is no Solterra configuration with the short sunroof.

That’s probably just their generic picture.

If you were comfortable that they had a reasonable return policy, you could order and see how it worked out.

Or contact the seller and enquire.

The scourge of brand new models… I was hoping that a six month delay would have resulted in more model-specific accessories being available, but it doesn’t look like it.

I am still hopeful (hope: the weakest known force in the Universe) that SoA will develop those nice full-interior dog shields (floor, seat backs, rear compartment, doors) that were previously available for the Outback and other models.

I think the official names of the items are:

Pet Rear Door Protector SOA567R000?
Rear Seatback Protector J501SAN222
Cargo Sidewall Protector J501SAN260

I don’t think those are available for the new Outback model.

unfortunately all of the people selling these have low number of ratings (like <100) and/or like 90% positive, which is pretty low.
here's the turkey ones, to me they look slightly better for the same price.

Maybe they are a small specialty place and the person answering your question can actually go out and look at the kit and answer questions.

But that’s the internet: no one can tell you are a dog (or a shady company)

Waiting for a genuine Thule (or Sube) accessory is frustrating, but at least with Thule, you can get support and replacement parts and it will fit properly.

Is Yakima not an option?
Has Subaru said when they expect these official crossbars to become available? There is currently no mention of them on Subaru Canada website.

I am definitely going to grab the Aero set when they do, not interested in the extended Thule bars. Just want mainly for ski's. No rooftop tents for this guy.

I'd get Yakima without hesitation but they don't look like they have anything out yet either.
It looks like Yakima is looking for volunteer vehicles to use for measurements in Oregon. Too far for me.

LOL, there's a whole bunch of them sitting just across the river from Portland! Not available for taking measurements, obviously.

Looks good. What length is the bar, and how much did it cost?

So, It's now February...any sign of the racks in Canada?
US seems not to have them.

I asked the parts guys at my local dealer about the Subaru “Crossbar Set - Aero” from the official accessory catalog (I want those more than the Thule ones). They have no information or dates on anything yet. In Subarus defence, they do say “late availability”, but how late? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am not sure what I paid :) It was an "accessory package" including winter tyres, ski rack, rubber mats, tow hitch etc :)

From Thule in Norway it is listed at 3977 nok, that is around 400 usd. The length of the bars is 127cm!

has anyone tried Toyota part number PT767-TB400?

EDIT: I ordered from BAM wholesale. I'll post what I hear. I asked them to confirm fit via the VIN.

EDIT: That didn't work

We regret to inform you, this item is back ordered with no ETA, and we will not be able to fill the order. Because there is not ETA, we are also unfortunately unable to hold the order for an unknown amount of time.
We apologize for the inconvenience, due to this unforeseen issue, the order will be canceled and you will be fully refunded. You should see the funds in your account within 1-3 business days. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

just to confirm, you’re using this mix of Thule components with you are Soltera that has the flush rails on top? Because Thule claims they do not have a fit kit for this. Which is baffling to me.

I think Thule in Europe has them. I'm about to order this stuff from Europe myself because I am sick of waiting. I think
187133 is the only part we can't get in the USA, but I'm even havinga hard time finding it in Europe !

Here is a site, but tey do not ship to USA
