FYI, our dealer called today to let us know our delivery date would be postponed to September because of the recall. I am happy for the update if not for the delay. Anyone else hear from their dealer?

Eons ago, when I drove through Chicago, some enlightened young lad thought he'd have some fun with a dumb Okie like me and loosened the lugs on one of my wheels. I discovered the problem about 60 miles east of Chicago, and promptly screwed the lugs back on.

I wonder if a similar enlightened Tesla owner took the opportunity to loose the bz4x's lugs ...

My dealer just called and told me that all Solterra's will not begin delivery until September - not because of the recall but because of a chip shortage. He just returned from dealer training in Portland and they were told the recall on affected less than 20 Solterra's headed to the U.S.

Except the ones already manufactured with chips in them I assume just waiting on new lug bolts more than likely

I contacted my dealer with "Any changes in the delivery of the demo and my car due to the wheels falling off recall?" and she replied with "We haven't heard anything yet. As far as I know, everything is still on schedule. I will continue to check and let you know if anything changes."

Pretty sad how little the auto manufacturers trust their dealers and have less regard for keeping customers informed. Hard to say whether this is being primarily driven by Toyota or not. I keep wondering whether Subaru regrets signing up for this vehicle with Toyota seemingly strong arming most of the development and essentially using Subaru to get a decent all wheel drive system. I still refer to it as a RAV4 Sportback anytime I talk about it.
