With the app used in Norway(Subaru Care), we have to log on with the same user-id and password on both phones to be able to accomplish this. But, how to add the car to her App, so that she can see/control it, or use the Digital Key function?
I assume you are doing this from the Solterra phone app. After pressing the Manage Key and Sharing button you should see a big Invite a New User button and then enter the appropriate info incl the phnone of the new user that you want to have a digital key to your car. They will then get a notification on their phone which they can accept and it will be ready to go.I'm having problem the same as the gentleman (Primary Driver) who wants to share his Digital key and Remote Features with his wife, who also has a Profile. I go through all the steps as the Primary driver, link the key, and then go to the link that says Manage/Share key/drivers. When that next screen opens up, all I get is a button that explains how the Remote key works, but nothing below that. The video that Subaru has online about this procedure shows a button that can invite up to 7 additional profiles to share the remote features. My screen doesn't have that feature. I'd appreciate any suggestions/help!
Thank you for your reply. I have followed all of the steps from the Solterra connect app. What I don't see is a big "Invite a New User" button. I know the way that page is supposed to look, but all I get is a How to Use Digital Key button toward the top, a large blank space where the New User button is supposed to be, and a Remove My Key button at the bottom. I'm one step away from success, but am baffled about how to proceed from here.I assume you are doing this from the Solterra phone app. After pressing the Manage Key and Sharing button you should see a big Invite a New User button and then enter the appropriate info incl the phnone of the new user that you want to have a digital key to your car. And with your phone as the primary user, does it have its digital key assigned? To test, lock your car, leave the FOB in the house, and see if the phone then opens your car and allows you to Start it.Thank you for your reply. Thank you for responding. Yes, the Digital key is connected to the car. I can lock and unlock w/out the FOB.And with your phone as the primary user, does it have its digital key assigned? Hmmm, I wonder if somehow your phone is not the primary user. Only the primary user can invite and assign other digital keys.Thank you for responding. Yes, the Digital key is connected to the car. I can lock and unlock w/out the FOB.
Hmmm indeed. I believe the dealer used my phone when we first connected the app to the head unit.Hmmm, I wonder if somehow your phone is not the primary user. Only the primary user can invite and assign other digital keys.
Could someone please tell me the process for changing the Primary driver to a different phone and profile? My wife and I both have profiles registered to our Solterra. Currently both the current Primary driver and the profile are in my wife's name and on her phone. I also have a profile registered to our Solterra and would like to change the Primary driver designation to my profile and phone.Hmmm indeed. So I'll need to figure out how to switch the primary user to my profile rather than my wife's.
I feel like I'm getting closer to solving this issue, thanks to the forum and your responses.
Have you tried signing in with your ID and password (not PIN code)? I think that is where you can set up and change Primary driver and add new profiles. Been a while since I did that, so can't remember exactly how.Could someone please tell me the process for changing the Primary driver to a different phone and profile? Thanks for the reply. I'll try this, and report back with results.Have you tried signing in with your ID and password (not PIN code)? I think that is where you can set up and change Primary driver and add new profiles. Been a while since I did that, so can't remember exactly how.

We share the same electronic key and keep another one as a spare.I had a really hard time adding the second profile, for my wife (using the infotainment screen), multiple failed tries. But then, after I shut the car off and turned it back on, there was her profile. And I have it tied to her key, so that part's good. But....
I cannot get the seat/mirrors to adjust to her settings when using her key to unlock/access the car, as I am able to with my key.
I've read the various manuals, they're not terribly helpful on this subject.
I'll PM you when I'm in the car and can figure out what I did (it's in the shop right now getting PPF installed/applied). And then I'll share it with the group, it might help someone else (there was a lot of trial and error involved, mostly error). We share the same electronic key and keep another one as a spare.
How do you register the second profile using the infotainment system? The user's manual describes in details how to create the first one, and then it's all about digital keys sharing etc., which does not work for me.
Great, thanks. I am sure, many people will appreciate that.I'll PM you when I'm in the car and can figure out what I did (it's in the shop right now getting PPF installed/applied).
