Wow! That does totally suck, tough way to go about getting a 2024. It's good to know you're OK, not often does the 'recipient' of an offending truck rearender get out of personal injury.

Unforturnatly Subuaru has deleted the Red for 2024. You can get the Red in the Toyota BZ4X. I chose the Sotlerra in Harbour Mist

 

You can still order it in 'Red' in the US - for an extra $395

 

Excuse me. I bought a 2024 Solterra RED. Oh, it's shiny. I ordered it and it came in April. I thought you could choose that color.

 

Indeed the Solterra is one solid vehicle. Per posts from another member a few months ago, I started watching Solterra crash test videos. Gave me a lot of confidence that we selected the right vehicle from a crash survivability standpoint.

BTW, I think our twin 2023 red Touring "Zippy" probably felt a sympathetic pain when your poor girl took the brunt of the impact.

Ditto with my wife’s red Touring, “Zazzy.” They both cringed when I showed them the pictures.

 

Thanks for sharing, sorry about the whole ordeal. This is why I always drive Subaru's. I was curious to know if this was designed as well since it is made in partnership with Toyota. I feel confident in my decision going from Ascent to Solterra.

Ours was rear ended last year. Fortunately it was able to be repaired. Still runs perfectly.
