Bad news, Toyota announced 3 new recalls for the BZ4X and the Solterra.....
Good news, very few cars impacted.
Something interesting: "The recall applies to models produced between March 2, 2022 and June 2, 2022"
I thouht that the production lines were stopped until next week?

Nothing about the wheel recall...

The assembly line didn't shut down until June 18.

So 110 Toyotas and 91 Subarus were built in 3 months. Interesting.

I particularly like the phrasing; risk of problems with the driver assistance function "Rain Tracing Assist", display audio, electric parking brake, etc. It could be the translation, but I'm wondering what all is included in "etc."

Probably only Japan allocated numbers, not numbers for entire amount built. The US recall portion for the wheel issue was 260 units (ones sold to public). Others were put on QC hold.

I guess this is the Solterra twin. I was mentioning in another thread how much was used out of the Toyota parts bin and just how prolific the same parts are across various models. One of my favorite cross-uses was Dodge minivan tail lights on the "new" Durango - gave it a very unappealing look to those that were paying attention.

In EV form, I guess these are the soon to be developed bZ12V (van).

That's probably the number found to be defective, not the total number built.

Yes but I would assume within the same timeframe there were not both "good" and "bad" vehicles built on the same line. Noting, of course, that the parts used were likely just for one market and export vehicles in the same timeframe could have been just fine.
